On the occasion of the IAA 2004 in Hanover KONVEKTA presented with the new roof-mounted air conditioning concept the highly innovative air conditioning units of the series S and P designed for city, intercity and tourist buses. Both series are available in three power ranges from 33 kW to 44 kW. By using aluminium components and innovative synthetic material we succeeded in gaining significant advantages in weight compared to conventional  roof-mounted air conditioning units. To meet the customers‘ cost-oriented requirements the new roof-mounted air conditioning concept is available with re-usable air filters made of metallic fabrics and with brushless ventilators and blowers. This fact emphasizes the ecological orientation of the product concept and results in a considerable reduction of „Lifecycle“ costs. The flexible, easy and time-saving mode of construction guarantees the operation for nearly all fields of application.

Air conditioning unit KL 20 E for driver's cab

With the new KL 20E KONVEKTA offers a solution meeting all requirements of air conditioning for drivers‘ cabs adjusted to all current vehicles. The refrigerating capacity of 3,5 kW and the extremely flat cover design are characteristic for this low-noise roof-mounted compact unit, upon request available with electronic control system. The unit KL 20E, as a matter of course adjusted to the customers‘ individual requirements, provides an optimal working atmosphere.

The unit KONVEKTA 20E is driven by a brushless 24V electric motor thus ensuring a constant refrigerating capacity. As the unit is filled with refrigerant by the manufacturer there is no need for installation of refrigerant cables within the vehicle.
